After the 1994 Genocide, many people in Rwanda were left fatherless as a result, many people still suffer from trauma and shock from the atrocities that happened that befell the land.
Orphaned Heart Ministries has reached out to the people in Rwanda through two major Healing the Orphaned Heart conferences. The first one took place at the province of the Anglican Church of Rwanda in 2012 where clergy and provincial staff were trained about helping people to heal from rejection and abandonment.
The second conference took place in 2016, where a team from orphaned Heart Ministries led by Janet Helms ministered to clergy and their spouses in Shyogwe Diocese.
